about me
With more than 15 years of communications experience, I am a highly skilled professional capable of everything from building an organization’s communications program from the ground up to executing the day-to-day tasks within that program. I am a visionary leader who translates broad goals into actionable plans. I am detailed, organized, diligent, and happy to work independently or as part of a team.

Writing
Researching, interviewing, writing, and editing are skills I’ve been able to hone thanks in large part to working on a daily employee newsletter, an annual magazine, articles, announcements, executive messaging, and more.

Campaigns
Planning and executing communications campaigns has been a cornerstone of my career. Envisioning the best way to promote an event or initiative, translating that vision into actionable items, and executing those tasks is one of my greatest strengths.
Please take a look at a communications plan and sample campaign materials our team created to encourage participation in, and attendance at, the UNLV Graduate College’s Rebel Grad Slam 3-Minute Thesis Competition. The tasks detailed in the plan were added to Asana, a project management tool, where they are being tracked and executed.

Publications
From conducting interviews and writing articles to editing, laying out, and distributing, I’m proud to have contributed to creating award-winning publications.
Please find samples of publications I’ve helped produce below:
UNLV Graduate College student, faculty, and donor/alumni newsletters
UNLV Law Magazine (2014, 2015, and 2016)

Collateral
Being able to equip my colleagues with the collateral they need to be successful in their positions brings me immense fulfillment.

Web
An organization’s website is often the first impression it makes on individuals interested in learning more. That’s why during my time at UNLV, I’ve spent extensive energy revamping the Graduate College’s website to be engaging, accurate, and user friendly. To see an example of how the website has transformed, please take a look at what our Current Students webpage looked like when I first started and what it looks like now.

Email Marketing
From recruitment messaging to event marketing to crisis communications, I’ve used emails to effectively reach various audiences throughout my career.
